A replacement facility for an existing aging structure, the project involved the construction of a new K-8 Elementary School. ALFA Engineering provided full pre-design, design, working drawings, site administration and commissioning services for this project in a standard design/bid/build process. The electrical design addressed specific needs related to the teaching model. Technology that included assistive listening systems combined with class call was utilized. Lighting and lighting control systems were designed using the most recent technology which provided quality visual comfort and simple control interfaces for end users. Access control, instruction alarm and closed circuit television systems were included and set the basis for all future Regina Public Schools facilities.
